Organic SEO through content distribution

Organic SEO (search engine optimization) seems to be the buzzword these days. What is organic SEO? In its simplest explanation, organic SEO is advertising through content distribution. All of your inbound links originate from the content you created for your website or blog. And boy, search engines love this kind of link structure.

Article marketing is organic search engine optimization. Your article and the link in your author’s resource box generate inbound links from other specialized websites related to yours.

Good quality original content will generate inbound links and quickly drive targeted web traffic to your website. This is the kind of activity that search engines love, and in turn, it would lead to better website rankings and increased web traffic.

Writing articles

This is an effective way to get publicity for you and your site. Write about your experiences, knowledge, hobbies, or passion. As a general rule of thumb, keep your articles between 400 and 700 words. The problem is not the length of the article. It is the quality of it. But for starters, it’s good to follow the general rule of thumb.

Tips on the effective use of articles

Before you start writing, research the keyword phrases related to your topic of interest. There are some free online webmaster tools that you can use (nichebot.com, wordtracker test). Typically, the highest ranked keyword phrases are highly competitive. A top ranked keyword with little to no competition is a rare find these days. Choose the mid-range keyword phrase. After all, your goal is for you to be on the first SERP page for the selected keyword phrase.

Include your keyword phrase in your article title and repeat your keyword phrase at least once or twice in the body of your article. You may also want to strategically and sparingly use a variation of your keyword phrase or related terms. You may notice that in this article I use SEO and Search Engine Optimization, which are interchangeable terms, but for search engines they are variations. I also use search engines and webmasters which are SEO related terms.

Using a variation of the keyword phrase and related terms makes your article more relevant to your topic. With such an arrangement, you are likely to score well in search engines for more than one keyword phrase.

Publish your articles on your site, blog, and article directories. Spreading your content across the web is a quick way to drive website visitors. I submit my articles to EzineArticles.com, goarticles.com, and articlealley.com. These article directories work well for me. Its high ranking in search engines gives me good publicity.

Other webmasters related to your niche will collect your high-quality articles and link to your website through your author’s resource box. This is an organic way to grow inbound links. Organically grown one-way links are favorably viewed by major search engines like Google and reward you.

Most webmasters archive articles for 1-2 years because it is a quick way to increase the content and size of their websites. So you can be sure of inbound links for at least 1-2 years.

It would be worth your time and effort to write or hire someone to write keyword-rich articles and distribute them around the web. Sometimes the results can be amazing.
