The Aquarium of the Pacific is located just offshore on The Pike at Rainbow Harbor in the city of Long Beach, California. It is one of the largest aquariums in the United States. Its nearly 1,000 species fill 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits and take visitors on a journey through the three regions of the Pacific Ocean: Southern California/Baja, Tropical Pacific, and North Pacific.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is a 156,735-square-foot marine exhibit with sweeping, curved, wave-shaped architecture that is designed to emulate the ocean.
