Summer Vacation at Beaver Creek

Whether you’re visiting Beaver Creek, Colorado for your myriad outdoor adventures, rounds of exceptional mountain golf, or a hit show at the Vilar Center for the Performing Arts, be sure to take advantage of some of the area’s unique dining experiences. This small community is a food lover’s paradise! Here are some options for those who don’t care too much about the check.

Take Beano’s cabin, for example. This award-winning restaurant is located on Beaver Creek Mountain and offers “Colorado cuisine” at its finest. A leisurely horseback ride is a great way to experience the Rocky Mountain scenery on your way to a 5-course gourmet meal. Try the sweet potato salad and the trout mousse.

Then there is the Grouse Mountain Grill. This restaurant is located in the Pine Mountain Lodge and offers American cuisine using seasonal ingredients with strong regional influences. The views from this place are spectacular!

True foodies flock to Mirabelle. Located just past the Beaver Creek entrance gates, Mirabelle is believed to have stood on the site of the first home in the valley circa 1882. As the largest residence in the heart of old Avon, it was the site of many community gatherings and social gatherings. Mirabelle opened in 1982 and features an award-winning European-influenced menu and an outstanding wine list that focuses on selections from France.

The Beaver Creek Chophouse has delicious juicy steaks and giant plates of fresh seafood. Located at the base of the mountain near the Centennial Lift in Beaver Creek Village, the Chophouse is in the middle of all the summer action.

The 8100 Mountainside Bar and Grill restaurant offers smoke-infused flavors in food selections from a large wood-burning grill. The dining room is an open floor plan with expansive views of Ski Mountain. The 8100 is located in the Park Hyatt hotel.

Beaver Creek is a family-friendly destination, so most restaurants offer children’s menu options and reservation times to fit a family’s summer vacation schedule.

The Beaver Creek area is fast becoming a popular mountain golf destination. The immediate area features three championship golf courses designed by famous golf course architects.

The Beaver Creek Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., has been pleasing avid golfers since 1982. Located on the lower slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain, this course occupies some of the most valuable real estate in the Valley. The course is known for its challenging, narrow fairways and striking scenery, and is included in Golf Digest’s Top 75 Golf Resorts.

Red Sky Golf Club consists of two award-winning golf courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman. The Red Sky Golf Academy makes its home here. This distinctive club offers members and guests their own clubhouse and designated course of the day. The Red Sky is a limited membership club, but memberships are available. This two-course club is located approximately 7 miles west of the Village base.

The arts are a valuable asset in the Beaver Creek area, and in addition to live music in many clubs and bars, this small mountain community has its own performing arts center. The Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) is located in the Village. VPAC is an intimate 530-seat theater that features a variety of performances throughout the year including classical music, dance, comedy, Broadway musicals, family programming, and concerts by acclaimed artists.
