Will the digital generation be smarter or dumber?

What do you think about the title question? We need to fight for a balance for our new generation. Read on to find out what I mean.

Children of the new generation are learning to play video games or use the computer at a young age, while we don’t get to use them until we are in our twenties or even thirties. Naturally, they are more skilled and smarter than we are.

Playing games, browsing or using social networks on iPAD, TAB, laptop or computer is a piece of cake for the children of our generation. However, if they sit in front of them all the time, with their eyes glued to them all day, they damage their eyesight and lose their health.

So we have to talk to the kids about reaching a compromise. Play and use digital devices for only one to two hours a day. You need to do your homework and study and play in the mud and dirt too. You need to strive for balance. A little bit of everything a day educates you better and makes you smarter instead of sitting idly with digital devices all day making you dumber.

We need to eliminate our children’s addiction to digital devices. And make them understand by talking heart to heart. And explain the damage they are doing to themselves. We have to take responsibility for how to engage them in all kinds of activities. Only then will our children learn and be smarter.

As I said, we must strive for a balance. When our children break this balance, they get hurt and dumber.

Well, like I said, parents can show kids of the digital generation how to strive for that balance. And only then can they be smarter.

Not all kids need to be nerds or disabled. There will be some out there. But most children can learn to pass the time once they are taught how to do it effectively.

Children need to spend time with family, engage in conversations with adults and friends, attend birthday parties and play in a park, and handle digital devices. If the parents take on this responsibility, surely the children are going to be great intelligent children.

Just strive to achieve that balance, dear father. And you’ll see them get smart, age gracefully, and continue to get even smarter as they get older. So mind you, you didn’t bring your children to life for nothing. You need to educate them properly and only then will our new digital generation flourish in a smart and healthy way.
