Before discussing the different types of entertainment, let’s first define what entertainment is. Entertainment is any type of activity that passively provides amusement to people, other entertainment activities that involve participation are considered recreation or hobbies.

When you walk through any major city in Europe, you will notice a wide range of public artists who work for whatever amount of money the public decides to give them. There are public entertainers of all kinds, from mimes to Peruvian flute bands, all working with the uncertainty of how much money they will earn, which is why they tend to be more common in big cities where there are more tourists.
