Disneyworld tips for you and your family

A Disneyworld vacation tops the wish list of many families. But with 22 themed resorts, 2 water parks, and 4 major theme parks, Downtown Disney, and everything in between, it can be pretty overwhelming, especially for a novice!

Okay, do not worry. I’ve put together a short list of Disneyworld tips and tricks to help you and your fellow travelers have the best vacation possible in the happiest place on earth.

1. Plan when to go.
Disney has a high season and a regular season. You don’t want to go during peak season because that’s when prices will be through the roof! So, look for the dates that each season falls on. You can get this information from travel guides, travel agencies, and the official Disney website.

2. Use the Magic Express.
If you’re staying at a Disney resort, use the Magical Express. This bus service will take you to and from the airport for free! You also enjoy free luggage delivery. On top of that, if you’re flying with a partner airline, you can check-in for your return flight while you’re at the resort!

3. Use the Disney Transportation System.
They’re free, they’re everywhere, and they’re incredibly cool on the inside. Even better, they run every 20 minutes last time I checked!

4. Fast pass!
I always say that using Fastpass is a skill. Well, I’m still saying it. Using Fastpass is a great skill because it cuts the wait time for popular rides by leaps and bounds! Read about how you should use your Fastpasses. The Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide provides a lot of practical information on the subject, but it’s not the only one that does. Check out more Disneyworld tips on Fastpasses on the official website and other trusted sources.

5. Eat where it’s cheap.
Believe it or not, many restaurants offer coupons and discounts. For example, you can print coupons that entitle you to a $10 discount for every $25 purchase at Rainforest Cafe.

Where do you find coupons? For restaurants surrounding the Disney area, try Restaurant.com. Simply search the website for certificates that will take care of a percentage of your bill.

Also visit the Orlando Visitor Center. You can get a free Magicard there. This card offers discounts at area restaurants, shops, hotels, and attractions.

Another way to save on food is by purchasing discount gift certificates. Some certificates save up to 50% on meals! However, most certificates are for a certain amount. This amount is usually $25, and you’ll get it at the discounted price of $12.50 or less.

What are you waiting for? Get those pointy mouse ears, use these tips and have fun without spending a lot of money!
