The cream of the NFC crop

In the NFC this season, there will be plenty to watch, whether you’re watching home games on your flat screen or watching soccer online on your laptop. Will the New Orleans Saints repeat? Can the Vikings and Brett Favre overcome the hurdle and make it to the Super Bowl? And what if other teams emerge like the Packers, the Falcons or the Cowboys? It should be an interesting year, especially as we enter the 2010 NFL season with far more questions than answers.

Let’s get this out of the way first: No. 1 NFL draft pick Sam Bradford will have a long season with the St. Louis Rams, as will No. 2 pick Ndamukong Suh of the Lions and No. 3 pick Gerald McCoy. of the Buccaneers. These three teams have a long way to go before they are close to playoff contention. On the other hand, most experts agree that the four NFC teams with the best chance of reaching Super Bowl XLV are New Orleans, Dallas, Minnesota and Green Bay. These are the four teams you should pay attention to when watching soccer online. While they all have big question marks due to injuries, age and mental toughness, all four have the makings, on paper at least, to run. Green Bay and Minnesota have the quarterbacks and defense, the Cowboys have the swagger and drive to play the Super Bowl at their home stadium. The Saints have the same heart and the same training that made them feel good as last year’s Super Bowl champions.

Of course, anyone who watches soccer online or at home knows that every year there are surprises. Teams that find a way to win and make deep runs. While teams like Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago and Washington have turned heads in the preseason. A really interesting division to watch is the NFC West. While the Rams will find the bottom of the division once again, the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals have a chance to win the division or at least 10 games.

The 49ers have been the dominant team for the past few years, is this the season for them to finally break through? Does Kurt Warner’s absence mean the Cardinals won’t have a playoffs? And can Pete Carroll really turn an underperforming Seahawks team into a perennial winner? Only a 16-game season will tell. Overall though, 2010 should be a great season to watch football online, on TV or in the stadium. Expect some teams to come out on top towards the end of the season, but none really walk away with the title.
