What is the first thing we notice about another person’s appearance? . . Her face, of course. The era of proper facial skin care only for women is over. Men are now appreciating the value of “good” skin every day that we get older. Whether you have acne, wrinkles, freckles, or anything else you consider to be blemishes, skincare routines are never too late to implement. Seeing the vast amounts of products on the shelves that claim to do one thing and another product that claims to do another can be very intimidating, if not misleading. This article aims to give you the basics that will be all you need to start getting a nice, clean and clear face. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, so let’s take care of it.

How to use it?

Squeeze a small amount of cleanser onto your hands (or a washcloth or gauze) and work into a lather. Then rub it gently on your face avoiding being too harsh.

Clean from the neck up to the hairline by rubbing in a circular motion, making sure to get to each blemish.

Rinse skin with cool water. Repeat several times if necessary until all of the cleaner is removed.

Step 2: Exfoliate

Skin is much more sensitive and could react negatively with moisturizers that are too rich. This could depend on the type of skin you have and the type of product you are using.

It is suggested to use it for neck and face.

Which moisturizer is best for you?

At the most basic level, moisturizers hold water in the outermost layer of the skin. They also act as a temporary barrier. Many moisturizers contain some combination of humectants and emollients, as well as other ingredients.

The moisturizer that is best for you depends on many factors, including your skin type, your age, and whether you have specific conditions, such as acne. For general guidelines, consider the following:

Dry Skin. To restore moisture to dry skin, choose a heavier oil-based moisturizer that contains ingredients like antioxidants, grapeseed oil, or dimethicone, which help keep skin hydrated. For very dry and cracked skin, Vaseline-based products are preferable. They have more staying power than creams and are more effective at preventing water from evaporating from the skin.

Oily skin. This skin type is prone to acne and breakouts. Although oily, that skin still needs moisture, especially after using skin care products that strip away oil and dry it out. A light moisturizer can also help protect the skin after washing. Choose a water-based product that is labeled “non-comedogenic,” which means it won’t clog your pores.

Sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is susceptible to skin irritations, redness, itchiness, or rashes. Look for a moisturizer that contains calming ingredients like chamomile or aloe and is free of potential allergens, such as fragrances or dyes. Also, avoid products that contain acids, which can irritate sensitive skin.

To keep your skin smooth and well hydrated, choose an oil-based moisturizer that contains petroleum jelly as a base, along with antioxidants or alpha hydroxy acids to fight wrinkles. Normal skin. Normal skin is neither too dry nor too oily. To maintain this natural moisture balance, use a water-based moisturizer that has a light, non-greasy feel. These moisturizers often contain light oils, such as cetyl alcohol, or silicone-derived ingredients, such as cyclomethicone.
